“HEART OF DARKNESS”
Greg Barris, one of the owners of L’asso Pizza, in Manhattan, and a boisterous standup comic, curates and hosts this variety-show series, in which comedians and musicians share jokes, stories, and songs. Past performers have included Reggie Watts, Dave Hill, Janeane Garofalo, and Craig Baldo, and on Dec. 9 at 8, there’ll be psychedelic rock and roll from the Forgiveness, along with bits by the “The Colbert Report” staff writer Eric Drysdale, the Eater.com contributor Max Silvestri, and the Tigers and Monkeys front woman, Shonali Bhowmik. (Union Hall, 702 Union St., Park Slope, Brooklyn. 718-638-4400. For more information, visit gregbarris.com.)
